Caterina Miralles Tagliabue is a young architect and filmmaker based between London and Barcelona. Caterina holds an RIBA Part 1, Part 2 and MArch from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AA) in London. With a bronze medal nomination by the Royal Institution of British Architects.
Caterina’s recent work has focused on documenting occupational shifts throughout cities in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her first video-piece The (Oppressive) Fish Tank Environment has been presented in festivals such as London Architecture Film Festival, Venice architecture Film Festival, has received a nomination for the Transfer film Award and will soon be displayed at the BARQ Barcelona Film Festival.
In collaboration with ROTOR dc. Caterina has led research projects focusing the utilisation of quarry waste across England, she continues to contribute to the Architectural Association’s Stone Lab. Caterina is currently the co-curator of the Fundació Enric Miralles, and continues on writing for architecture and art magazines such as El Temps de les Arts as well as Arquitectura Viva.
